At both The Cliff House Hotel and The Cliff Townhouse, we use low energy lightbulbs and recycle all our paper. We operate an environmentally-conscious laundry policy and use products that are kind to eco-systems wherever we can.
We source food as locally as possible at both properties. A large percentage of fresh vegetables and herbs for The Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore is grown in a unique partnership with St Raphael’s Centre in Youghal. This initiative, spearheaded by our Executive Chef Martijn Kajuiter, allows the centre’s intellectually disabled patients to engage with the gardening process while growing and selling surplus produce.
At our hotel in Ardmore, 60 per cent of the roof area is covered in sedum moss, which blends softly into the Irish landscape. Our new Cliff House Hotel car, which we use for guest transfers and airport pick-ups, is electric.
